Day 1 Flight to Bucharest

Arrival at Bucharest International airport.
Welcome from your guide.
Transfer at the hotel.
Accommodation in Bucharest.

Day 2 Bucharest - breakfast
Vlad Tepes, Prince of Vallachia signed at 21 September 1459, “Act of Attestation of Bucharest”.
This is our first “rendez-vous” with “Dracula Legend”.
Bucharest panoramic city tour: Parliament Palace (“Casa Poporului”, second largest building on Earth, after The Pentagon”), Romanian Athenaeum, University Square, Revolution Square, Patriarchal Cathedral.
Afternoon at leisure.
Optional visit: History Museum, Romanian Art Museum, Romanian Peasant Museum.
Accommodation in Bucharest.

Day 3 Bucharest - Targoviste - Sinaia - breakfast
Departure for Targoviste, former Capital of Wallachia between 1396 ans 1714 (with some interruptions, due to the ascension of Bucharest ; Bucharest became finally Capital of Wallachia, of Romanian United Principalities, Of Romanian Kingdom and today’s Capital of Romania).
We visit Targoviste Princely Court, the second “rendez-vous” with “Dracula Legend”, from here Vlad Tepes ruled Wallachia.
Departure for Sinaia, “The Pearl of Carpathians”.
Arrival at Sinaia.
Visit of Peles Castle, architectural masterpiece, former summer residence of Romanian Royal family, today one of the richest museums of Romania
Accommodation in Sinaia.

Day 4 Sinaia - Bran - Brasov - Sighisoara - breakfast, dinner

Departure for Bran.
Bran Castle, or “Dracula Castle”, is in “Top 10 most famous castles on Earth!”, also being considered as the most expensive medieval castle ever built!
Bran Castle is our third “rendez-vous” with “Dracula Legend”.
Departure for Brasov “Kronstadt”, another very important Transylvanian city with Saxon heritage.
Brasov walking tour: City Hall Square, City Hall, Rope Street (narrowest on Earth!), Black Church.
Departure for Sighisoara, considered as “Pearl of Transylvania”, “Sachsisch Regen” (Saxon name).
Arrival in Sighisoara, our fourth “rendez-vous” with “Dracula Legend”.
Two hours walking tour of Medieval City of Sighisoara, dominating the hill. Classified as UNESCO Patrimony.
Sighisoara is the city where the famous Prince Vlad Tepes (surnamed “Vlad the Impaler”) .
was born in 1431.
The tour will include: a few of 9 existing towers (in total the city counted 14 towers), “Vlad Dracul” House (XV-th century), Venetian House, Stag House, Covered Stairs , The Church on the Hill .

Day 5 Sighisoara - Biertan - Medias - Sibiu - breakfast, dinner
Departure for Biertan.
Biertan is maybe the most famous Saxon village of Transylvania, at least for two reasons: because here lies the Fortified Church, UNESCO World Heritage Site and also because here was held for almost 300 years the Head Office of Transylvanian Saxon Church Archbishop, between 1572 and 1867.
Visit of the Fortified Church.
Departure for Medias, “Mediasch”, another Saxon Transylvanian city, founding member of the “Sieben Burgen”.
The seven „Sieben Burgen” are : Medias/Mediasch, Brasov/Kronstadt, Sibiu/Hermannstadt, Cluj-Napoca/Klausenburg, Bistrita/Bistritz, Orastie/Grossau, Sighisoara/Schassburg (plus Reghin/Sachsisch Regen and Sebes/Mullbach)
Medias walking city tour: the Cathedral, Stephan Ludwig Roth Lyceum, Covered Stairs, Castle Square, Maria Tower.
Departure for Sibiu, “Hermannstadt”.
Arrival in Sibiu, “Hermannstadt”, another very important Transylvanian city, also with Saxon heritage, former European Cultural Capital in 2007.
Sibiu walking city tour: Grand Square, Petite Square, Huet Square, Evangelical Church, Catholic Cathedral , Lutheran Cathedral of Saint Mary, Orthodox Cathedral, Liars Bridge, Handicrafts Square, City Hall, City Hall Tower, Bruckenthal Museum.
Dinner in a traditional restaurant in Sibiu.

Day 6 Sibiu - Alba Iulia - Turda - Cluj-Napoca - breakfast, dinner
Departure for Alba Iulia, “Romania’s Unification Capital” and former Capital of Transylvania.
Alba Iulia city tour: Reunification Cathedral (“Coronation Cathedral”: here were crowned Ferdinand and Maria, on October 15-th 1922, as King and Queen of Great Romania), Catholic Cathedral, Princely Palace, Equestrian Statue of Mihai Viteazul/Michael the Brave.
Michael the Brave was the first ever Romanian Prince to achieve the Unification of the Three Historical Romanian Provinces (Transylvania, Moldova and Tara Romaneasca /Vallachia), on November the 1-st 1599.
Also, in Alba Iulia, the Great Romania was born on December 1-st 1918.
We finish Alba Iulia tour with „Alba Carolina” medieval fortress tour, Vauban style masterpiece.
If we have chance, we can attend the ceremony of “guard change”.
At the end of Alba Carolina tour, we will arrive at the cell where Horia, Closca and Crisan, the leaders of “Revolt of Horea, Closca and Crisan” from 1784.
Departure for Turda Salt Mine.

Day 7 Cluj-Napoca - Piatra Fantanele - Bistrita - Reghin - Cluj-Napoca - breakfast, lunch

Departure for Piatra Fantanele, in Borgo Pass, in the heart of the Carpathians, famous place described by Bram Stocker in his novel “Dracula”.
This is our fifth “rendez-vous” with “Dracula Legend”.
We will watch “Dracula show” in Hotel “Castel Dracula”.
Possibility of photos, if good weather, panorama will be splendid.
Lunch at the restaurant of the hotel.
Back to Cluj-Napoca
Short stop in Bistrita “Bistritz”, another city with an important Saxon heritage.
Visit of Evangelical Church, masterpiece of Transylvanian Gothic style.
Next stop will be in Reghin “Sachsisch Regen”, another city with saxon heritage.
Visit of “Gliga” Violin Factory, as Reghin is considered as Capital of Romanian violin industry.
You have the possibility to buy one.
We continue to Cluj-Napoca.
Cluj-Napoca walking city tour: Saint Michael Church, The University, Evangelical Church, Equestrian Statue of Matthias Corvinus, Matthias Corvinus birth house, National Theater, Orthodox Cathedral.

Day 8 Cluj-Napoca - flight back home - breakfast

Transfer at Cluj-Napoca international airport.
